Antique Victorian Silverplate Dome Butter Dish Angel in Swan Boat Under Glass

We are pleased to offer a spectacular silverplated domed butter dish from Wilcox Silver Plate Co. with a patent date of Dec 7 1880.  It has classic Victorian style with embossed florals and ornate finial, handles and feet.  As beautiful as it is from the outside, the best part is inside.  The glass plate where the butter would rest showcases a magnificent vignette of an angel in a swan shaped boat, sailing along with a note that says "For You".  It illustrates the height of Victorian sentimentality and is a wonderful find.
Condition:
Excellent - no evidence of silver wear or loss.  The pattern is crisp and well defined.  It has been hand polished so there will be no surprises.  Any dark spots in the photos are reflections only.

8" diameter; 6 1/2" tall.
