Circa 1900 FOLSOM Brand FULL WEB Baseball Glove Folsom Arms Company NYC & Conn.

Description

This Folsom full web baseball glove appears to date to around 1900 and was made either by, or for, the Folsom Arms Company of New York City and Norwich Conn. It is an adult size and the Folsom name is just barely visible on the front of the glove just below the pocket. It is very soft and obviously very well worn and fragile. Oddly enough, the inner liner is still in nice shape the glove has a nice on hand feel. Vintage wrist button is still firmly attached. In all honesty, the outer shell of the love is in rough shape as I hope the photos will illustrate. The leather is worn, darkened, flaking in places and overall has the look of a glove that saw years of play. It is still good as a rustic display piece and 110 + year old artifact of the game.  This glove for some people will make an interesting period display piece but it would not be good for play. In view of it's condition, I have tried to price it as a display piece only. Inquiries welcome.
