    Description

    The item for sale is a vintage glass toothpick holder that was made in the United States by Degenhart during the middle of the twentieth century.  The holder is in the form of an elephant head with a curled trunk.  The color of the glass is purple often called amethyst.  This type of toothpick holder was made in a wide variety of glass colors and are quite collectible. There appears to be some very minor stress fractures near the opening at the top. There are no chips nor other damage to the rim so these probably occurred during removal from the mold during manufacture.  The overall appearance is clean.  The dimensions are 4 1/4" x 2" x 2 1/2".
