RARE 1970's Rawlings Willie Stargell XPG-6 glove Heart of the Hide USA Pirates

Here is a vintage 1970's Rawlings Willie Stargell endorsed Heart of the Hide model XPG-6 baseball glove for a Right Handed thrower and thus fits on the left hand. Made in the USA. The glove is an adult size glove and it measures 11.5" long through the pocket. Rawlings made this HOH glove with his endorsement only in 1975 and 1975, per Rawlings catalog info. But they must have made it in 1977 as well since this glove has two dots on the6 thumb which would appear to be for 1977.  The catalog lists an XPG-6 glove made in 1977, but shows it as non-endorsed. The glove has soft leather inside and out. Made in USA, Spiral Top Triple Action web, Deep Well Pocket, Willie Stargell, The Heart of the Hide logo, For the Professional Player, XPG 6. USA, Edge-U-Cated Heel, Wing Tip, Pat. No. 2,995,757. Both Rawlings patches have wear on them as the pictures show.
You can feel the quality HOH leather on this vintage glove. The name LAW is neatly written in marker on both sides of the patch and once below the pocket on the back. Also a little fish logo at the top of the web on the backside.  Leather lacing looks original but there are a few place in the web that are differently than normal. Soft leather inside and out. If you like your glove a little on the floppy side, you'll love this glove.  Soft and smooth interior leather with a little chafing. But you don't feel too much of the chafing when you put your hand in the glove. Wool padding underneath the backstrap is still nice.
The stamping on the front of the mitt is light in places due to use, but still mostly readable.
Willie Stargell of course is a Major League Hall of Famer after a great career from 1962 - 1982 all with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was on 2 World Series winning Pirates teams and was the 1979 World Series MVP. Pops was also the National League MVP in 1979. He was a 7 time All-Star and elected to the HOF in 1988.
