Vintage Victorian Silver Petite Covered Butter Dish.
This Lovely Victorian. Butter Dish has a Feather Fluer-de-lis backstamp on the bottom. Unfortunately, I have not been able to identify it. I have seen it as a part of a French Backstamp with several other types of logos along with it for Sterling Silver. But,  I don't believe that this is Sterling. This Petite Butter dish is very elegant in its Victorian Embellishments. It appears to be crafted in heavy Silverplate and adorned in a casted Gadroon trimmed lid as well as the bottom. A decorative shell leaf pattern enhances each corner of the bottom and a graceful small floral motif enhances each corner on the lid. There is little surface wear but no wear through the silver plate or deep scratches.
